January 2022 I had the privilege of training at the Truist Leadership Institute. As a member of Truist’s senior leadership team, I was selected to join the four-day, onsite Mastering Leadership Dynamics course.
Self Awareness
From preparatory coursework and interviews that had been conducted with my team and peers, I learned my leadership style and how I was perceived. The program was transformative, allowing me to explore the factors that shaped and influenced my perspectives and personality. With an understanding of how my personality impacts others, I was able to increase effectiveness of my communications.
Purposeful Leadership
The insights I gained about myself, along with the course’s training and practices, equipped me with the abilities to lead with intention and purpose. I came away with the ability to replace what were automatic reactions with intentional responses and overall healthier ways to navigate situations and relationships.
Relationship building
The training has shaped me into a highly-effective senior leader who can lead teams and individuals in collaborative, productive communications even in dynamic times of organizational change and complex challenges.
